We were lied to
We know the truth now, don't we
Pulled the wool over our eyes
There's nowhere to hide

Wear a flower in your hair each Monday
To show what side you're on
Wear a flower in your hair on Monday
To show what side you're on
Cause we're not laughing
And we're forgotten

We were lied to yet we sit and stare
At the television like we don't care
You were lied to now 2,000 men are dead
I can feel the rain pouring down
Upon our conscious in our heads

Wear a flower in your hair each Monday
To show what side you're on
Wear a flower in your hair on Monday
To show what side you're on
Cause we're not laughing
And we're forgotten

You were lied to, get off your ass
If you don't want the future to repeat the past

General Comment"Flower" by Corinna Fugate reminds me of those 60's protest songs. To me, this is a protest song. What she is protesting could be anything I guess...probably a current event like war.
