Now from a solar system
To another I fly
I come with life in my veins
Through darkened space I ran
I left a struggle behind
And faced the fear that's alive
I lost a world and traveled
Straight across from the sky
To find the gates of the heart

I come to Sirius C
To learn from you friends of old
And wish to come into being
And behold I'm with you
I am ready now to go
The distance and even beyond
Recover all my forces
All the strength of the world
And feel the light into me

From the strength of god
We go to the power of goddess
This place is a throne for brightness
The age of war is over

For god's sake
They have never heard of you
"You'll never reach this master race"
Our force sickening, killing the time
Human laws already slain many lives

There was a streak of madness
But now I know
I see its now the only truth
The scars in me are opened
Won't you please call me beyond?

Crave affection, love and courage
Being courageous and flying instead of falling down
Follow these instructions I've been
Given in this dream awake

There is no goal to reach now
Leviathans, no complaint at all
Dolphins from upper space are in front of me
In present they dwell

This is my way
I've found my home
My state of real
There is no goal to reach

So this is my interpretation of this song. Considering that A: Mars is a dead planet with all of the building blocks for life((according to nasa)) and B: Mario in a interview said that part of his inspiration for this album was aliens ((flying whales)), I theorize the song is a bit of a story with a message told in a poetic manner. An alien civilization lived on Mars until either a war broke out or a cosmic disaster struck and left the civilization in turmoil. So they left mars and went back to where they either came from or to another habitable planet from the Sirius C system. I also pick up that a message is being told through the song directly from the race. It sounds crazy but perhaps someone in the band, perhaps mario himself had a dream of aliens or were abducted by aliens and told these things. "Follow these instructions I've been given In this dream awake" The video makes sense if you look at it in this way. The video is full of metaphores. With the over-lining message: Being earth bound waiting to fulfill our destiny to get off this rock and travel the cosmos and even go to Sirius C. someday but first we must stop fighting wars and hating and instead take care of our planet, ourselves and to come together as a race and evolve spiritually and technologically. Also I must add that there are some other songs from this album that hint that there are global messages from aliens or "beings" told in a dream state. I too have had some very interesting dreams so it is easy for me to understand but to alot of people this might sound like crazy B.S. Hell some people are still ignorant to the fact aliens are flying around in spaceships right here in our skies almost every single day right above our heads mutilating cattle and making crop circles. If i was an alien and I had a message for this planet, I would probably use a popular figure such as a band to help relay messages too. It just makes sense. But this is all theory based from my own interpretation. You may make of it what you will.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
