"Sorry" as written by and Eric Steven Matthews....
Did you find what you were looking for in room 13 of the 16th floor?
Did it all become suddenly clear to you?

Did you find what you were looking for in the silence between his snores?
Did you find it there at 3am?

Here's a new dress, do you fit it?
Did you find it? Oh, you didn't?

Well I'm so sorry.
So sorry.
I'm so terribly, terribly sorry.

Did you find what you were looking for, looking out onto Rue Balfour?
Don't you know these streets are so romantic in the rain.

Do you find these European handball players beautiful?
I can't help it, I'm just the same as you.

I held a candle and you lit it.
Did you find it? Oh, you didn't?

Did you find what you were looking for? Oh, I just don't care anymore.
It's a free world. Go out and be an artist.

General CommentI think this song has a very general meaning to it. Hes asking questions to someone about there life overall hes asking did you find what you were looking for in life..after all you went through after every memory every face you met or word you spoke did you find that meaning to your life. Whoever it is answers no, and in a self reflective state he puts the world in perspective for himself and that person...

"Did you find what you were looking for? Oh, I just don't care anymore.
It's a free world. Go out and be an artist."

Hes saying be free dont worry if you have not found it yet because deep down you can be anywhere and anyone you want at anytime...

    amazing song im loving it.

General CommentI have other opinions about this song then what is listed currently:

I think this song is about a couple after they broke up, and a guy is questioning his ex lovers new needs in a partner and wants to know if his ex is happy now that he is out of her life.

"Do you find these European handball players beautiful?
I can't help it, I'm just the same as you."

The guy still thinks the couple is compatible and tries to reason out what she wanted but in the end

"Did you find what you were looking for? Oh, I just don't care anymore. It's a free world. Go out and be an artist."

he clearly gives up on his old love. its so disappointing.

Song MeaningTaken from my personal context, i've come to the realisation that the chorus ("Well I'm so sorry. So sorry. I'm so terribly, terribly sorry.") is actually in relation to the rest of the lyrics.

He's talking to his partner, but only asking questions - not giving any information. This, in turn, ends up frustrating the partner. So he's overwhemingly apologetic because he didn't realise what he was doing wrong. If you look, virtually every single line, other than the chorus, is a question. I was thinking about the lyrics the other day and suddenly this particular way of looking at it hit me.

Each person takes their own view on it, though. It could be completely different from person to person.
