The falconer is sitting on
His summersand at dawn
Unlocking flooded silvercages
And with a silverdin arise
All the lovely faces
And the lovely silvertraces erase
My empty pages

The falconer is sitting on
His summersand at dawn
Beside his singing silverwaves
And his dancing rebelrace
That compose ahead of timeless time
A sound inside my candle light

Father child
Angels of the night
Silver friend
my candlelight

Father child
Angels of the night
Silver friend
my candlelight

The falconer is sitting on
His summersand at dawn
Unlocking flooded silvercages
And with a silverdin arise
All the lovely faces
And the lovely silvertraces erase
My empty pages

General CommentI've heard it said that this song is about Andy Warhol. I doubt it. It sounds like a pretty faithful synopsis of the 1960's Hungarian film called "The Falcons", where a guy runs a falconry centre like a facsist state until the rains come and drown all the falcons in their cages. At least that how I remember it. I saw it in about 1972 and haven't seen it since, but it made an impression on me and this song always reminds me of it.

General CommentOn the Frozen Borderline reissue, on the demo version, Nico introduces this by saying 'this is already a new movie. It's beautiful.'
