Frightened face
Lonely dream
Break my heart
With your sad scream

Sun is down
Spirits low
Hate my impatience
but here I go

Come on, let's leave our misery
And crawl toward where we want to be
Can't we try? Can't we try?
Come on, sleep one night peacefully
Then I'll yawn all day easily
and rest up my mind

Weary guise
Mine the same
Why so worried?
You can't explain

Come on, let's leave our misery
And crawl toward where we want to be
Can't we try? Can't we try?
Come on, sleep one night peacefully
Then I'll yawn all day easily...

General CommentThis song just embodies and creates "hope" somehow, in spite of most of the negative imagery. The meaning is pretty direct, it is about being beat down by a long day/long life that seems to be full of nothing but lowlights. Ira's simply asking his partner to crawl away to an escape (either to bed or completely away from where they were before) to try to be happy again.
