Is it too late
Nothing to salvage
You look away
Clear all the damage

The meaning to
All words of love
Has disappeared
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe

Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know

The promises
Hollow concessions
And innocent show of affection
I touch your hand
A hologram
Are you still there
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe

Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know
Is it too late
Nothing to salvage
You look away
Clear all the damage
The meaning to
All words of love
Has disappeared
We used to love one another
Give to each other
Lie under covers so,
Are you friend or foe

Love one another
Live for each other
So, are you friend or foe
Cause I used to know

General CommentActually written by Dave Stewart of Eurhythmics fame, this was recorded by t.A.T.u. for their “Dangerous and Moving” cd. Sting just plays bass however this must have been a project quite near and dear to his heart because their cd is advertised on his website with more pizzazz than his own work is. But then who’s to say what he was thinking. Perhaps he’s mentoring the ladies in their illustrious singing careers as his newest hobby.

General CommentMy, you’re sounding a bit catty.
Me? I said nothing—truly—but if first impressions are worth anything, the feeling wasn’t positive. Saw that ad and thought, uh oh …
And in this case uh oh means …?
Don’t know. I’m not that good … now you, on the other hand … you’re probably looking clear past Kansas right now and acting like you don’t know how, so it was you—not me—being catty. Meow … He likes playing big brother to young chicks. I’m too busy for such jazz. Excuse me, now …

General CommentNow what? You aren’t happy about this. I can tell. But I don’t care and I don’t have time for this. Look. I’m thinking he is a huge fan of t.A.T.u. and he couldn’t resist the desire to fulfill his lifelong fantasy to be a part of their band—perhaps it’s the Russian thing—perhaps it’s the feigned lesbian thing. I don’t really know but who cares? It’s a free world. Why some angel would be over-analyzing this is way beyond me. You bored? I’m not. Study something else. Go sit on a pixel and let me know how many angels you can fit in around you. Okay? Yes, it’s the old patriarchal bull-pucky but I believe we’re saddled with it for eternity—not great news but hey!—I’m not in charge of plot changes… Aristotle probably is—he’s been hogging it for eons—the old plot hog’s scared of intelligent women.
