Tree tops burning in a forest fire
Water boils over steams for a while
We're lonely in this world
Looking for a cure

Flood rushes in like an emotion
Wind blowing hard but within time
It eases to a breeze
I fall back to my knees

She is beautiful, but I'm not in her eye
Falling lost in her uncharted depths I'd lie
But it's alright, for a while

Tree tops burning in a forest fire
Water boils over steams for a while
Lonely in this world
Looking for a cure

Flood rushes in like an emotion
Wind blowing hard but within time
It eases to a breeze
I fall back to my knees

She is beautiful, but I'm not in her eye
Falling lost in her uncharted depths I'd lie
But it's alright, at least for now, to be me

My Interpretationi love this sing. it's so relaxed. I think the part that says

"She is beautiful, but I'm not in her eye
Falling lost in her uncharted depths I'd lie
But it's alright, for a while"

means he loves a girl who doesnt love him.
    and

"Tree tops burning in a forest fire
Water boils over steams for a while
    Lonely in this world
    Looking for a cure"

shows that he is waiting for his feelings of loneliness to pass like steam over boiling water or a fire
neither last forever so his feeling cant as well. He knows there is a cure for his problem but he needs to find it
