So when we all took our first breath
We line up in a row outside
And passed around a cigarette
Just babies squinting up at the street light
Whispering about what's coming next

And you said
"Just say you will,
Just say you will."
You will, you will.

Ohh, I may be young
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone
You said, "Ohh I may be young"
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone
And it's you

Our ankles intertwine
And then your hands are a beginning to my body's end
We kicked our shoes off and laid down in the grassy lawn
Still new enough to play pretend

And you said
"Just say you will,
Just say you will."
You will, you will.

Ohh, I may be young
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone
You said, "Ohh I may be young"
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone
And it's you

Oh, it's you
Why did I choose these mistakes?
These mistakes to make
Because it's you
Oh, it's you
It never changed for me
It will always be...

Ohh, I may be young
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone...

Ohh, I may be young
But I know when I love someone
When I love someone
And it's you

Oh, it's you
Oh, it's you
Oh, it's you.

From her website it says: "It’s You came from a poem that started with that line and the idea of being at that age where you’re young and you don’t really know anything but you feel like you do, says Stela. but you’re playing with these ideas of love and lust, you know, drinking beer and smoking cigarettes."

Personally, I just think she's talking about a crush she had. She knew she was young and naive, but didn't care much - she loved the guy. 'Just say you will' might refer to 'making a career in her music and being successful' This song is really catchy, especially the chorus. It reminds me a lot of the summertime.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
