"Be Good" as written by and Wright Hook....
It's been a blast but we've been caught
Packing up your suitcase, hard day, long face
Get the story right, get the story right
Get the story down

Waltzing right out of the room
Be good when your parents stay over in June

It's been alright but we have fought
Ways of the Samurai, parry, thrust, do or die
Not the fighting type, not the killing kind
Get the story down

Waltzing right out of the room
Be good when your parents stay over in June

I heard the news, I'll send a card
Cellar door, Friday night, long Johns, hold tight
Put it on a page, put it on a line
Get the story down

Waltzing right out of the room
Be good when your parents stay over in June

General CommentI love the lyrics "ways of the samurai /perry thrust do or die". TPC's energy is infectious, like a disease. They really capture adolescent energy, I'm 17 and If I had a band, it'd probably sound like this (I can only wish).

General Commentthis song is about a relationship that didn't work out.

the end of every verse is about writing down the entire story of the relationship.

i can't really get the chorus. i think it's like, the girl is leaving (waltzing right out of the room), and the guy's trying to be casual, so he tells her to be good when her parents visit her.

General CommentTPC is such a breath of fresh air. They have such a unique sound. I'm surprised there aren't that many comments on this song, I think it's their best. Be Good has the catchiest bass line ever, and the "Hey,hey!"s at the end are so freaking awesome. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time to figure out what it means. lord catfish, you might just be on to something...

General CommentGreat song, I think maybe they are lying to their parents that they are still together when they have broken up. The repetition of "Get the story right" gives me the idea of deception for some reason.

General CommentThis is my favorite TPC song love the lyrics. I have no idea if it's actually telling a story I heard in some interview along time ago I don't even remeber where but they were saying that Dave was just going with and bsing it. I mean maybe not who knows well dave knows. They are so awesome I can't stop listening to them.
