come on party were beautiful
one more taste have to melt and frame hold on Picasso
uplift fusion with massive palms

passion immobile is not the solution
let them concur and dig out their own holes
a steady win.. process for evolution craters

sour, the burning saint in ember
let her glow ignored while she was complete

there is so many days and i still have my dreams

youre standing still in the shadows
id call it lost you save face
but its passion and its burning my heart out
scarred now if i die with no soul may i be set in glory

though you may not agree youre calling beckoning
so cute seduce me
a massachusetts wonder your soul devoured

youre calling this out, though wrapped in denial
i see the finale
cannot replace whats programmed but it can combust

take this body burn this soul
collapse these dirty lungs
slow down the effects of no hope

so call it, you wanted to be inspired? solved...
this is only existence as we have made it a reaming hole
and i cannot see
push my kaleidoscope a little farther

i want too see the sun crash
longing to stand at the vernanda and lunge
ive see every shore spat in their mouths
counted the faces i long to burn out

every presence knowing i did right... did so well every intention to burn out this city
for all.... i long...

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
