"Dirty Dog" as written by and Juliana Hatfield....
Baby I know you want to get high
Well I won't cry
If you get between my sheets
Maybe bleed on me
You can say you love me
Over and over again
I'll still be your friend
But I'm not down with the dirty dog
You can blow your smoke right in my face
And come three hours late
You can steal my concept
And drink my wine
And break my shades
You can flip me over from behind
That would be alright
But I'm not down with the dirty dog
I want to see fears in your eyes
When I draw the line
I'm not down with the dirty dog

General CommentThis is a weird one. The obvious meaning is that she'll let a man abuse her in anyway they want, but she won't put up with a dog on the sheets. This is odd since Juliana is known to have a dog living in the house.

So it's probably from a different point of view. She often sings about another person but puts it in first person. I think this is supposed to be an ironic look at a woman she knew that would put up with anything, except a dirty dog.
