General CommentHmmm, whenever I hear this song, I get this sensation of a girl who married too young. she's maybe traveling through Japan on a train trying to figure things out, while contemplating the relationship she has with a tall, middle aged, American actor.

Ok, I just couldn't resist! Lol.

General Commentactually, for anyone who's ever been to Kyoto, this song gives a perfect sense of the peacefulness of the many gardens, parks and shrines. amazing! it's even better when you listen to it there!

General CommentI haven't been to Kyoto, but when I visited Naritasan I got the same feeling.
They said in concert that they wrote the song for the movie "Lost in Translation." The one with bill murray and scarlett johansson. I thought that was interesting... but its a better song without thinking of it in the movie.

Confirmed. Japan is a beautiful country in general, but Kyoto is definitely one of the highlights. I lived in Japan for over a year and only returned to the US because of family obligations (else I would have stayed). It broke my heart to leave, but when I listen to this song, for 4:49, I'm right back there. It's gonna have to hold me over 'till I move back in'09. Sigh...

It always reminds me of the rain. It rains at LEAST twice a week...year round (at least it did in Aichi-ken).

Kind of ironic, for the majority of my life I've been something of a loner. But it was in fact during the time I spent in Japan that I learned to love people. So I guess I personally was never LESS alone than I was when I was in Kyoto.

I still dig on the song though :P

General CommentWhat, you've never heard of this song? :p It's supposed to be Alone In Kyoto, I messed when while writing the title for the lyrics. I'm gonna try to get this thing deleted or get a name change.
