If you wanted to, you could just settle down
But you'd rather just waste away
Button up, shut up, and turn your life around
What would it take to get this started?
If you wanted to, you could just settle down
But you'd rather just waste away
Button up, shut up, and turn your life around
What will it take to get this started?

Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today

If you wanted to, you could just start it up
Well, just start it up
Let's get started (x4)

If you wanted to, if you wanted to
Just start it up
Let's get started

Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a, blood scattered on a)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today

It's five o' clock
It means it's time to start growing up
You'd rather waste away, you'd rather waste away
You're 22, but you've got nothing much to show for it
You'd rather waste away

And if you wanted to, you could just start it up
Well, just start it up
Let's get started
If you wanted to you could just start it up
Well, just start it up

Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a, blood scattered on a)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today)
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today
(Blood scattered on a, Blood scattered on a)
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a
Blood scattered on a Boy Scouts war today

General CommentI can't believe not a lot of people commented on this.
    I love Farewell.
I think this song is about someone who just needs to 'grow up' and is just wasting their time when they could be getting their life in order or something. Kind of obvious, but I really don't know. I don't know about the "Blood scattered on the boy scout floor today" part.

I had a chance to go to a show since their from my city, but me and my friends were too scared.
    I'm only 12. Yeah it's lame.
    k.
    Anyway, amazing band.

General CommentHaha. He's obviously talking to someone who is a lazy bum and won't get a job/start life. Maybe he's saying that you shouldn't take life for granted.

As for the boy scout part, I think he's making fun of this person. Not sure how that could possibly be correct, but hey.. you never know!

megasaurus, dang. They're wonderful live... you missed out on a kickass show ;)

General CommentI think the part about 'boy scout's war' just continues the same theme as the whole song, because 'blood scattered' refers to a real war, while 'boy scout's' is obviously about children... so it's like, maybe he's not taking life seriously, acting like a child with no responsibilities, but his actions do have real effects...
