In the sky and in the eye and
In the sky and in the eye and..
If you want to touch the sky
Just put a window in your eye
See the sun and
See the rain
See the window
See the pain
See the sun and
See the rain
See the birds eye
See the brain
Ancient cities
Rise again
See microscopic
See world view
See the future
Leaking through
See the person
Who once was you
See the seashore and
See the sand
See the windows
In your hand
See the Lie.
Gold is the sky
In concentrate
Power in its purest state
Power surge
Power will rise
Through the windows and
Through the skies
Misrule is kind.
See the sky and
See the eye and
See the sky and
In your hand in the sky
And in your eye
See the sky in your hand
See the sky and understand
Gold is the sky
In concentrate
Power in its purest state
Power will rise
Power will fly
Through the window
Through your eye
Gold is the sky
Riches, treasures, riches
Richard's treasures
Riches, treasures, riches
Gold is the sky
In concentrate
Power in its purest state
Power will rise
Power will fly
Through the window and
Through your eye
Gold is the sky.

General CommentAcid/LSD is dropped onto sheets of blotting paper, often the sheets will have some sort of design on them leading to different "brands" of acid. Windowpane is one of these brands, the design being a simple square if I recall correctly.

I guess the window as the entrance to an alternative world metaphor is obvious.

I was told by someone that people have been known to stick acid tabs under their eyelids for absorbtion so possibly this is why one might "put a window in your eye."

Comes from the album "Loves Secret Domain" (LSD gerrit ?) which is probably Coil's most accessable album and which is liberally sprinkled with references to hallucinogens, power/energy and magic(k.)

Its a shame more people haven't been exposed to Coil as I believe there is far more to discuss with both their lyrics and even the way they wrote/recorded their music, than there is with your average band. But they were never ones to play the music industry game, which just makes me love them more.

    RIP Jhon Balance

General CommentIt's about the mind-expanding properties of drugs, LSD in particular.
