"Girlshapedlovedrug" as written by Benjamin Joseph Ottewell, Ian Thomas Ball, Paul Blackburn, Oliver James Peacock and Thomas William Gray....
She's a Wicked Girl
Worst in all the world
A mystery lies in her

She spends her days
In a violent rage
Try as I might
I love her

Everytime the tears run dry
The story goes
What's left behind
Shivers like a leaf
Taciturn and gentle
It's not hard to believe

The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my mind
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with your mind

She likes to fight
The whole world bang to rights
Yours truly, I'd die for her

The growing pains
Dissolve in lemonade
The sweetness flies to her

Every time her temper flares
A storm will blow
What's left's so rare

A fragment of the girl
Soft and sentimental
The side she tries not to share

The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my head
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with your mind
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my mind

When your song is sung
Don't let me colour your opinion
That girl's my life, I tell ya

Every time my tears run dry
And the moment's flown
And re-designed

My feelings for the girl
How could I be with out her?
I would surely still find

The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my mind
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my mind
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with your mind
Don't ask me why,
The Girlshapedlovedrug
Messes with my mind

General CommentWow I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet! I think it's brilliant! The video is also great. Liking the rest of the album as well. I think it is about the writer being addicted (hence the title) to a female. However, he (assuming the writer is male) is confused because she is nice to him one minute but then horrible towards him the next. She clearly has quite a temper and flies off the handle with him a lot and he doesn't know why. All he knows is he loves her.My only correction is that I believe it goes more like 'Yours truly'd (would) die for her'. There are a few other parts I'm unsure of as well but on the whole it is accurate. Great song!

General CommentAgreed. This is a great song- the whole album is awesome. This song is particularly self-explanatory, which isn't a bad thing...

General CommentI love this song. I cannot believe only two people commented on it! The second I heard it on grey's anatomy i was hooked. it has a catchy beat and good lyrics. i think the meaning is quite obvious. he is addicted to a girl-hence the word drug-who has a quick temper. she has a tough edge, but he seems to know the real her, which is the girl he loves and it obsessed with.

General Commentsnow.patroler, are you a fan of snow patrol because of grey's anatomy also. that freaking show has ruined so much for me. Every time i find a new band on my own i hear people say, "oh, i've heard them on grey's." it's so freaking annoying.
Gomez rocks on this album, and this song is the best. true, it''s self-explanatory, but the theme and idea behind it is brilliant. *word to you girls out there* you are like a drug to guys. thanks a lot...!
