"My Baby's Gone" as written by and Stephens Vogel....
My baby breaks by the sea
Floats her arms around me
Where they pretend to be free
She don't mean nothin' to me

This broken opera just screams
What don't get said in my dreams
Don't need no shoulders to lean
Still I feel far too clean

My baby's beauty explodes
My wounded conscience unloads
I go where cold winds don't blow
I go where nobody goes

But now my wave breaks down on me
Whole world seems out to sound me
I'll drown, no one to show me
Can't swim, I lost my floaties

My baby's gone, my baby's gone
My baby's gone, my baby's gone
My baby's gone, my baby's gone
My baby's gone, my baby's gone

General Commentthis guy lost his baby, obviously.
in the beginning he acts like it doesnt really bother him.
"we'll pretend to be free. she means nothing to me."

and still he's trying to be strong.. like he doesnt need anyone.
"dont need no shoulders to lean."

but he knows something is missing.
"still i feel far too clean."

and now he's starting to realize how much he really misses her
"my baby's beauty explodes. my wounded conscience unloads."

and he goes into a lonely depressed state
"I go where cold winds don't blow. i go where nobody goes."

finally all these emotions are catching up with him and he feels like everything is weighing down on him.
"but now my wave breaks down on me. whole world seems out to sound me."

and he feels like he cant handle it alone. he wants her back with him, to help him like she used to before.
"i'll drown, no one to show me. can't swim, I lost my floaty"

thats just how i see it.
    i love this song. (:
it's really sad. and you can hear the pain in his voice when he sings it.

Always makes me laugh, despite how sadly it's sung.
