General CommentHargalaten, or Hårgalåten(Horgalåten) is an old swedish song, or legend really. Where or when it begun is almost impossible to pinpoint, the legend of hårga was written down for the first time a bit over 100 years ago, but the legend itself is much older.

The song itself tells the story about how the devil comes to a village and starts playing his violin. The people starts dancing to the hypnotic tune, but they cannot stop. They dance untill they die.

    "Hejda din stråke spelman innan,
vi dansar liv och själ och alla ben ur kroppen.
Nej inte slutar han sin dans
    förrän allesammans faller döda!"

Is the last vers of the original lyrics. And roughly translates to:
    "Stop your bow musician before,
we dance life and soul and all our bones out of our body.
No, he doesn't stop his dance
    untill everybody falls down dead."

So it's quite evil really :)

General CommentHårga isn't a place close to Gothenburg. It's a small mountain in Hälsingland. The legend is well known in Sweden.
