"Kiss on the Mouth" as written by Michael Maida, Jeremy Taggart, Duncan Coutts, Steve Mazur and Bob Rock....
If you were king
If you were king you'd set me free
But I'd be too dumb
Well I'd be too dumb to ever leave

Sometimes it is good
Sometimes it's as bad as it could be
And sometimes it's lost
And sometimes it's right in front of me

I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore
I give it, I take it, I come back for more
I build it, I break it, I even the score

I thank you for the war
I thank you for the Hollywood ending
Give thanks for it all
Cause life's not as easy as it seems

Sometimes it's a rose
And sometimes the smell is sobering
Sometimes it's a mouse
And sometimes the sound is deafening

Well I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore
I give it, I take it, I come back for more
I build it, I break it, I even the score

It feels like it beats you up
It feels like it knocks you out
It feels like a kiss on the mouth

It feels like the saddest song
Nothing can stop us now
Feels like a kiss on the mouth

Well I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore
I give it, I take it, I come back for more
I build it, I break it, I even the score
I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore
I give it, I take it, I come back for more
I build it, I break it, I even the score
I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore

It feels like it beats you up
It feels like it knocks you out
It feels like a kiss on the mouth

It feels like the saddest song
Nothing can stop us now
Feels like a kiss on the mouth

A kiss on the mouth

A kiss on the mouth

On the mouth

It is an awesome song. Songs like this should have been on the new CD, instead of the poppier stuff they did. Oh well. Apparently they are working the next CD really fast, which should hopefully translate into a rougher sound.

General CommentBy the way, I'm seeing this on July 20th in Regina...I'm very excited. It's a small club-like performance at the Casino Regina Show Lounge. It's the only 19+ performance of the tour, so I hope they really let loose!

General CommentI have some videos up now of the July 20 show. In the end I should have In Repair, Will the Future Blame Us, Kiss on the Mouth, and Starseed.

General CommentSaw them play this song in Vancouver... awesome. Apparantly they are releasing a new album in fall 2006... a greatest hits CD called "Decade". This song is to be included on in, along with one or two other previously unreleased songs.

General CommentThese lyrics are for the live version, I should mention. The newly-recorded song on A Decade is a bit different. Basically the same though.

Anyways, I think it's about beer, or alcohol in general.

General CommentI should mention that the single that was released off of "A Decade" which is on the radio has slightly different lyrics since this was from the live version they toured with.
