@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Yeah, yeah
Just one more mornin'
I had to wake up with the blues
Pulled myself outta bed, yeah
Put on my walkin' shoes
Climb up on a hilltop, baby
To see what I could see, yeah
The whole world was fallin' down, baby
Right down in front of me
'Cause I'm hung up on dreams
I'm never gonna see, yeah
Lord help me, babe
Dreams get the best of me, yeah
Pull myself together
Gonna put on a new face, yeah
Climb down from the hilltop, baby
Lord, get back in the race
'Cause I got dreams, I've got my dreams
To remember the love we had
I got dreams, I've got my dreams
To remember the love we had
'Cause I'm hung up on dreams
I'm never gonna see yet, oh yeah
Lord help me, baby
Dreams get the best of me yet
Alright, yeah, yeah
Pull myself together
Put on a new face
Climb down from the hilltop, baby
Lord, get back in the race
'Cause I got dreams, I've got my dreams
To remember the love we had
I've got dreams, I've got my dreams
To remember the love we had
And I'm hung up, Lord, on dreams
I'm never gonna see yet
Not bad, not bad
Lord help me, baby
Dreams get the best of me yet
I wanna
Just one more mornin'
I had to wake up with the blues
Pulled myself outta bed, yeah
Put on my walkin' shoes
Climb up on a hilltop, baby
To see what I could see, yeah

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
My favorite Hatchet tune! Originally done by the Allman Bros. If you want a kick ass show, check them out in a smaller venue. They will totally rip your freakin scalp off with wall to wall sound! These guys put on a hell of a show.I was lucky enough to see them perform several times with Danny Joe Brown on lead vocals before he passed.
Did not know it was a cover. Written before the music died in 1971. Cool
:) This is one of their best!
I just love this song. There are several reasons. It takes me back to back in the day. I can relate to what the lyrics are talking about. I could listen to the instrumental in the middle on a loop all day long.
As one ages, the knowledge appears that where you have come from you can never return. Then road behind is longer than what lies ahead. Choices taken can't be undone, the turns you made got you where you are. Opportunities pass like road signs. One can sit all day and wonder what if. Oh, that can be a way to pass the time that you have little of.
