"Barfly" as written by and Ray Lamontagne....
Barfly
Just a barfly, baby, uh huh
Barfly
Just a barfly, baby, uh huh
Kiss me before you go
I'm going low and lately
Barfly
A barfly, baby, uh huh
Barfly
Just a barfly, baby, uh huh
Slow down
Slow down, you're movin' too fast
Slow down
Slow down, you're movin' move too fast
Kiss me before you go
I'm going low and lately
Kiss me before you go
I'm going low and lately
I'm going nowhere
I'm going nowhere...

General Commentthere's something about Ray and Rachael's (Yamagata) voices when they say "kiss me before you go" that is just amazing

General CommentThis song evokes an image in my head - a dingy bar, one lonely man drinking some strong alcohol, trying to understand his own life.
    :D

General Commentthis is the best song on the new album in my opinion..i tihink its about 2 people maybe in a relationship that have different opinions about how to take their relationship...one wants to take things fast and the other wants to take things slow

General CommentTo me this song is talking about how 2 people want different things. One person wants to go fast and may parties a lot and is a "barfly"; the other person wants to slow down. The relationship ends as he says "kiss me before you go."

By far one of his greatest songs.
