"Wasting time" as written by Robert Douglas Graves, Anthony Armstrong and Jasen Rauch....
You found me here, waiting for your chance
You would reach inside and take all of me
You watch your lies smother me again
But now you can't!

Don't even try your wasting time
Jump back I'll beat you down and turn around
I'm fighting my way through you
Push you away, I'll never break
Come back ill beat you down
It's over now
I'm turning my back on you

I turn around, there you are
A blink and a flash back to you again
You push me down tried to steal it all
This time I pushing back!

Don't even try your wasting time
Jump back I'll beat you down, turn around
I'm fighting my way through you
Push you away, I'll never break
Come back I'll beat you down
It's over now
I'm turning my back on you

Oh on you

Go ahead and try to stop me
Go ahead and try to stop me
Go ahead and try to stop me
Go ahead and try!
Go ahead and try!

Don't even try, you're wasting time
Jump back I'll beat you down and turn around
I'm fighting my way through you!
Push you away, I'll never break
Come back I'll beat you down
It's over now
I'm turning my back on you!

General CommentWhile most of the songs on this CD are talking to God, I think this one is talking to Satan. "waiting for your chance...you want your lies to smother me again..." The narrator is telling Satan that even though he's beaten him/her in the past, he's wasting his time with tempting him/her, because God is fighting for him/her now.

General CommentI think this could be talking about a couple things, Satan, addiction, doubt. I think the lyrics are written well enough that you can take it and use it to whatever circumstance you may be currently facing. This was the first RED song I heard so it's got a special place for me, but it's not my very favorite song. I love the message it sends though. Standing up to your personal demons, finding a way to not let them pull you down anymore. powerful stuff

General Comment... heh, pretty much, yeah. What cycle.of.ashes said. Probably my least favorite on the cd. I'm not saying its bad, just that it sounds rushed... "a blink and-a flash" "I'm fighting-my-way through you". The lyrics are pretty good, just an odd timing.

General CommentI agree with everyone here. It could defiantly be said to Satan, which was my first impression. But it can apply to a number of other things. One of my most favorite songs.
