"Sorry Bunch" as written by and Amanda Palmer....
We're a sorry bunch
The odds of it are such a drag my darling
I could've lost her hand
You should look where you are going
God I could have lost my life
But I would lose a hundred fights
Just as long as you were on my side

We're a sorry bunch
The odds of it are such a drag my darling
You were lost in thought
Well it won't help now to say you're sorry
They could've dropped us off
But I would skip a hundred parties
Just as long as you were invited
Just as long as nobody knew that we were

Here's to alcohol
Here's to all of yall
Here's to all of the things that we drink
When we want to sing like no one's listening

[Repeat: x4]
Just as long as you were on my side

General CommentFor some reason, I believe it's about someone being in love with a drag queen and the party lifestyle.

General CommentThis song has such a marvelous beat and great lyrics.
It's about sticking together, no matter what.
That Amanda and Brian will stick together no matter WHAT goes down in their lives.

I heard them play it live in Chicago. It is just an all around amazing song.

General CommentOne of my favourites off the new album :D

It kind of reminds me about me and my two best friends lol. But I think anyone with good friends will feel like that about it.

    LOVE IT!

General CommentThis song is so obvious:
It's a song about someone Brian & Amanda killed and their regret "We're a sorry bunch", probably vehicular manslaughter "You should look where you are going" "The odds of it are such a drag my darling" they dragged the body after hitting it "I could've lost her hand" the hand was severed in the accident "They could've dropped us off" they were stoned & no one would give them a ride home "God I could have lost my life" prison.
Everyone knows Amanda's a socialist cokehead who worships the devil, the real meaning of this song should not come as a shock.

    General Commenti wholeheartedly disagree with motrubble;
i'm sure you could find a distorted meaning in EVERY song if you tried. you are clearly not fond of amanda, and thus are trying to destroy the meaning to said song.

she ADMITTED she wrote it for and about brian; it's about sticking together no matter what.

    General Commentis Motrubble high?

it's a song about staying together through thick and thin, with or without the rest of the world.

General CommentI'm actually surprised that she wrote this for Brian, considering she went solo. As much as I love Amanda's solo album, I'm very upset that they broke up, especially now learning that this song was written for Brian. =[
