"shine down" as written by Timothy Dwayne Barrett, Bradley Michael Noah, Kevin Duane Young and Travis Wyrick....
Destiny
Questioning the connection with some
Divinity
Is there something for me?
I'm stretching out my faith

I have tasted all the things this world has offered me
It has left me thirsty for something this world cannot see

Shine down on me
If You're the one who loved me before the stars were made
Shine down on me
If You're the one who gave it all to dethrone my shame

I'm empty
All of my successes have left with
Depravity
Now that all else has failed
I'm stretching out my faith

At the pinnacle it was impossible to see
In the deepest of this darkness it comes clear to me

General CommentI believe that the song is religious and that the band is talking to a higher power (if not God).

Everyone is always seeking something more; Never complacent. Not even those who "have it all"

General CommentI think this song means that the narrator has finally achieved everything he wants but is still searching for more. He figures out that God is the only way to fill his empty heart and reaches out in faith.

    Awesome song to listen to.
