"Messy" as written by and Weinstock/penzone/sullivan-kaplan/conceller/penzon....
It's time you knew that everybody leaves the lights on
So, why don't we hit the switch?
You better move
Better take off that attitude
But keep on those high heeled shoes

If you're getting up
Or you're getting down
Better wash your hands now

They say boys are messy
But you know girls just make a mess
So we don't care if we get dirty
We ain't here for cleanliness
(We're just making friends)

Go get the news (woo!) cause everybody wants to find out
Who's hitting heavy bricks
No time to lose, better blow up some balloons
And put on a face or two

If you're getting up
Or you're getting down
Better wash your hands now

They say boys are messy
But you know girls just make a mess
So we don't care if we get dirty
We ain't here for cleanliness
(We're just making friends)

They say boys are messy
But you know girls just make a mess
So we don't care
so we don't care

If you're getting up
Or you're getting down
If you're getting up
You better wash your hands now

They say boys are messy
But you know girls just make a mess
So we don't care if we get dirty
We ain't here for cleanliness
(We're just making friends) (x2)

General CommentHonestly, I thought sex at first.

But then I thought it could be double-representing sex and then the relationship as well. Like "you know girls just make a mess" like overly dramatic and such.

I don't know. I like the sex aspect...makes the song 'kinky,' but somehow I have a feeling it has another underlying meaning.

General CommentSex. "Take off that attitude, but keep on those high-heeled shoes"? Kinda obvious on that one. But I also agree with nicolepeas, as well. Guys are messy, but girls just cause drama and make a mess with everything.
