"When You Live" as written by David Dustin Hengst, Noelle Leblanc, Michael Boucher Vasquez and Michael D. Woods....
All the lost kisses
And runaway tears
Can't fix what you good mom and dad
Have been saving in pictures
For all of these years
And it's sad
Everything fades to black
Yeah

All your selfish friends
Play their monologue games
And mock everything that I am
But I don't know the things you said
Or are saying
But I'm one of them

Cause the lights will go down
On your show
And as the sands roll by
There's something I
Wanted to say to you

[Chorus]
When you live, live with your soul
Not with your time
When you love, love with your heart
Not with your mind
If you wanna be something the world can define
Open up your eyes

Accidents happen and
Confidence fails
But that's not what I"m trying to say
Theres a smurk in my house
That's been killing me here
For days

And as the light drags on
There's been stuff I've been meaning to say to you

[Chorus]

You can't thank it here
You can't thank it here
You can try all you want
But you'll break it here
You can laugh it up
You can tell your friends
They can't hear
But I'll break it up
You're not listening
You're not listening
To anything you're trying to say

[Chorus: x2]

You can't thank it here
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes

General CommentBasically, this song is about life, and how you should live it how it should be lived and not how others want it to be...I love this song. Its so sweet...kinda reminds me of how my life is and all those memories I'm glad I have...it kinda also reflects upon how life is really short, hence the "cause the lights will go down on your show" part, which is talking about your death...hm...

General CommentThis is such a beautiful song, and I do have to agree with Biz87 that it does send such a good message. I think that this would be a perfect song to play at a graduation.
