Well Jenny was up to no good
She was telling everyone that she was about to leave
And they were telling her not to go
Cause they'd make her regret

Yeah so they never heard of the M26
Yeah well they were going to run through the sticks
And they gonna find it all how it ends
If they don't reach her

But it's gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna be right here tomorrow
Gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna need a head of sorrow

Cause its a lovely heartbreak
Whoa oh oh ohh ohh oh oh
Lovely hearbreak

Not only she was up to it all
She was telling everyone to go for the ball
Saying dont leave me in the way
That they don't make them

So forgive me if I act a little rough
Its just I was never to learned enough
And im gonna make it all down today
If they don't come on back again

So theres gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna be right here tomorrow
Gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna hold a head of sorrow

Cause its a lovely heartbreak
Whoa oh oh ohh ohh oh ohhh
Lovely hearbreak

And he never been laid so low
Yea got no where else to go
And they gonna take it slow by slow
Until they reach that point again
So why dont you hold my hand
Cause them old folks never understand
They gonna take it all in the lamb
And they gonna read them back again

Theres gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna be right here tomorrow
Gonna be a barn storming yeah
Gonna hold ahead of sorrow

Cause its a lovely heartbreak
Whoa oh oh ohh ohh oh oh
Lovely hearbreak

General Commentthis song is about a plane from wayyyyy back called the J-D JENNY and barnstorming is when the J-D JENNY flew through two open barn doors making a big mark in aviation history, thats the basic but it is clearly a metaphor for something else

General CommentThe new lyrics from the album explain a much different story. Chad likes to make his song similar with underlying meanings

General CommentMy father was a haystack man,
Always said son go a find what you can.
Said the guns get jammed up in the sand,
Don't let them try to fool you.

I said but daddy we ain't fightin' the cong no more
He said you're going over there to lose the very same war.
I said nothing you can do is gonna make me stay,
Gotta let others have their glory day.

But you know the whole town's gettin' together in Leeland's barn.
Everyone's gettin' there nice shoes on.
Girls are all cuttin' up their confirmation dresses.
Streets will be empty tomorrow as the whole town confesses.

    It's a barn storming yeah
    Gonna leave my bed tomorrow,
It's gonna be a barn stormin' yeah,
Won't hold a head of sorrow.

    'Cause it's a lovely heartbreak,
    A lovely heartbreak.

Now Ginny she was up to no good,
As up to no good as she could sometimes be.
I used to lie awake at night,
Just thinkin' about her being up to no good with me.
She said just like the flower to the bees,
I'm gonna give you a little somethin' before you go over seas.
All I could do was stammer,
Yes yes please and look in the other direction

'Cause it's gonna be a barn stormin' yeah
    Gonna leave my bed tomorrow,
It's gonna be a barn stormin' yeah,
Won't hold a head of sorrow.

    'Cause it's a lovely heartbreak,
    A lovely heartbreak.

'Cause I never been laid and so it goes,
    Never danced before so stoned.
It was the first time I didn't want to go,
Now I wish I could take it all back again.

    She spit in my hand,
Said boy I'm gonna make you a man.
It was all I could do to stand
And ask the levy to hold.

It's gonna be a barn stormin' yeah
    Gonna leave my bed tomorrow,
It's gonna be a barn stormin' yeah,
Gonna hold a head of sorrow,
    It's a lovely heartbreak,
    A lovely heartbreak

this song to me seems to be the story of a guy probally in his late teens getting ready to go and fight in Iraq and alot of people are trying to tell him that he shouldnt go, but he isnt listening to them cause he wants his own as chad puts it "own glory day" and he is so set on going to fight in this war, until one night he gets super stoned and dances gets 'Laid" just has a great time, then he relizes that he has to go fight in this war and he starts to regret his decision
