"Better Than Anything Else" as written by Cameron Keym, Salvatore Mignano, Douglas Michael Robinson and Joseph Philip Zizzo....
Something better now, something better now awaits.
This wasn't the end, with you we carry on.
Well I never had a chance, never had a chance, to tell you.
To tell you your friendship was better than anything else.
Why?
The ones that we needed, the ones that we're losing.
Why doesn't this make sense at all?
I hope you're listening.
Why?
The ones that we needed, the ones that we're losing all of.
The ones that we're losing, all of.

Now I sit alone, now I sit alone, in pain.
Wishing you were here. you had so much going on.
Well I never had a chance, never had the chance, to tell you.
Your friendship was better than anything else.
Why?
The ones that we needed, the ones that we're losing.
Why doesn't this make sense at all?
Oh I hope you're listening.
Why?
The ones that we needed, the ones that we're losing all of.
The ones that we're losing, all of.
The one
Does this make sense to you?

Something better now, something better now awaits.
This wasn't the end, with you we carry on.
Well I never had a chance, never had a chance, to tell you.
To tell you your friendship was better than anything else.
Why?

General CommentTo me I think this is about a guy who tries with a friend who is a girl and things dont end up the way he wanted. I dont know if he screwed up or what but it hurt their friendship badly and he misses that.

General CommentI think it's about death, and the album itself seems to have a lot of songs about death in general. The album is dedicated to the memory of John Beatz (definitely the subject of "Heart Beatz") and Caitlin Boyle, whom I can only assume is a personal friend of the band's and also the subject of this song.

"The ones that we need are the ones that we're losing" is easily a reference to friends who are dying.

General Commentall of the members were close to beatz, and when he died it hurt everyone. imagine being good friends with someone, and then having them die just out of the blue. they felt like they never got the chance to tell them how they felt about their friendship, and the same situation probably happened with Caitlin Boyle
