"the wait is over" as written by Timothy Dwayne Barrett, Joey Seth Fife, Bradley Michael Noah, Kevin Duane Young and Travis Wyrick....
I can feel it in the thunder rolling, lightning crashing
It's our time, the wait is over
Fire's burning, floods are rising
It's our time, the wait is over

Sitting in ashes, we're broken,
with our faces downward,
Like there's nothing we are looking forward to

We've been waiting so long
For this moment all of our lives
Let it pour out

I can feel it in the thunder rolling, lightning crashing
It's our time, the wait is over
Fire's burning, floods are rising
It's our time, the wait is over

Hoping and praying in silence,
That the blessings of the former
isn't the end of what we look forward to

We've been waiting so long
For this moment all of our lives
Let it pour out

General CommentGreat headbanging song for the Christian kids, I'd say...but what was the wait for? What are we looking forward to? It doesn't ever say, and it leaves me wondering all kind of things. Not so good for a Christian band, or any band, I think...

General Commenti believe this song is about how the wait is over for God to come back to earth for His people. We've been waiting so long, and now the time is come.

General Commentall the signs (he refers to them as thunder rolling, lightening crashing, floods rising, fires burning) are pointing to the coming of Jesus. in the last days God will pour out His Spirit among all flesh and we will recieve great power.
the church has been acting as if the blessing of the former are all used up but we are living in the covenant of the latter rain. THIS is actually what we've been waiting for and even the disciple longed to see these days.

General CommentThis song is obviously about the rapture. as pyro psychosis said all the signs refer to the signs it talks about in the Bible. A great song by the one of best bands out there.

My InterpretationTo me this song is about waiting for an answer to prayer. There's a time for trevailing, crying out, desperation. It's about feeling like the miracle's about to to come.
