"Helicopter" as written by Snoopy,, David Spradley, Leroy Bonner, Gregory Webster, Garry Shider, Andrew Noland, Marvin Pierce, Norman Napier, Walter Morrison, Ralph Middlebrooks, Marshall Jones and Jr. Clinton....
My piano's out of tune
I wish it wasn't, I wish that you were mine
I wish that my heart was stronger
My piano's out of tune
I wish it wasn't, I wish we had more time
Wish that my world was softer
And I want a helicopter

I've had this feeling before
My heart is crawling in the mud, mud, mud
I'd feel much better I'm sure
If I had a helicopter

This telephone's out of use
I wish it wasn't, I wish you loved me more
I wish that your world was closer
This telephone's out of use
I wish somebody would take me to your door
I wish that this world was finer
And I want an ocean liner

I've had this feeling before
My heart is crawling in the mud, mud, mud
I'd feel much better I'm sure
If I had an ocean liner

My piano's out of tune
I wish it wasn't, I wish we had more time
Wish that my world was softer
And I want a helicopter
I want a helicopter

I've had this feeling before
My heart is crawling in the mud, mud, mud
I'd feel much better I'm sure
If I had a helicopter
If I had a helicopter

(I've had this) crawling in the mud, mud, mud
(My heart is) crawling in the mud, mud, mud
(I'd feel much) crawling in the mud, mud, mud
Mud, mud, mud, mud, mud

General Commenti think this song is about a person who would feel better in life if they had a helicopter.

General CommentIt is not about wanting expensive things...It's about wanting to have her but that is so impossible that he might just as well be asking for a helicopter or an oceanliner, because his chances are the same...

General CommentI think it's about a guy, the singer, whose had his heart broken. And this makes him cranky, grumpy, he turns his back on the world. He's so grumpy he gets worked up about the little things: "my piano's out of tune" "this telephone's out of use". And he doesn't think straight. His heart is broken and he wants everything to make him feel better. Expensive stuff; helicopters and ocean liners. He forgets the little things like family and friends that could cheer him up.

General CommentMe thinks.... Its about a guy, thats been rejected.

I wish that my heart was stronger.
My heart is crawling in the mud, mud, mud.
    I've had this feeling before.

And "my piano is out of tune" sounds like a metaphor for his life at this moment. Its all wrong.

And the helicopter and ocean liner are ways that he can excape this pain...

General CommentMoney can't buy happiness - this guy loves someone, she doesn't feel the same, so he thinks he can cheer himself up with something big and extravogant. Well it didn't work.
