Don't know what's going on
Don't know what went wrong
Feels like a hundred years
I still can't believe you're gone
So I'll stay up all night
With these bloodshot eyes
While these walls surround me with the story of our life

[Chorus]
I feel so much better
Now that you're gone forever
I tell myself that I don't miss you at all
I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you're gone forever

Now things are coming clear
And I don't need you here
And in this world around me
I'm glad you disappeared
So I'll stay out all night
Get drunk and fucking fight
Until the morning comes
I'll forget about our life

[Chorus]

First time you screamed at me
I should have made you leave
I should have known it could be so much better
I hope you're missing me
I hope I've made you see
That I'm gone forever

And now it's coming clear
That I don't need you here
And in this world around me
I'm glad you disappeared

I feel so much better
Now that you're gone forever
I tell myself that I don't miss you at all
I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you're gone forever
And now you're gone forever
And now you're gone forever

    General Comment:First comment? Wow.

This really is a beautiful song. Based on a relationship that didn't turn out the best, like a lot of 3DG's songs. It hits a personal chord with me, with a relationship that didn't end in the best way, and I haven't talked to her in a year. I thought I missed her, and wonder why she did the things she did, but in the end...

    "I feel so much better
    Now that you're gone forever
I tell myself that I don't miss you at all
I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now"

It made me a better person. Well, that's my two cents.

My Interpretation:While I do see the drugs relation, I believe that it's a bit less about a bad relationship.
To me, it's about ending a relationship, whether it was good or bad to begin with. The denial one goes through when someone you love leaves.
The verses are very much oriented towards underlining that the singer is not alright at all, while the chorus is always contradicting the verses, about how much better the singer is.
I believe it's about the feeling you get when someone leaves you, you deny that it has hurt you, you are much better off without them anyway, but you know you are lying. Still, you try to tell yourself that it's all better now. It's a battle between the love you held for a person and the feeling that it didn't work out.

General Comment:To me, this song isn't about being happy someone is gone, I think it is the exact opposite. During the chorus he says that he's happy the person is gone, but the verses say something else to me.

In the first verse he talks about how he can't believe she's gone, he's in apparent shock. In the second verse he speaks of getting drunk and fighting. To me, that sounds like someone whose devastated. I think he's trying to convenice himself that he's happy when in all actuallity he's devastated!

My Interpretation:a girl left him and he is being ripped apart by it, i believe it is sarcasm when he says "i feel so much better, now that your gone forever" when in reality he's just saying this to try to inflict some pain on her as revenge for all she has done to him.

General Comment:^^ Makes sense. also a really brilliant song. There's someone who just.. I was involved with, and it ended up really badly, and I was glad when I wasn't talking to him, but I still wondered what he did and all that stuff though I didn't want to..

aahhh,.,. my comment makes no sense

General Comment:For me, it reminds me of my ex-boyfriend, and how I am better off without him, seeing as he was a jerk.

General Comment:I don't know about the real meaning, but right now, listening to it makes me happy cuz I got rid off an unhealthy person, and he's gone forever. :) It's obvious that the relationship was never good, and he coud've never seen that, cuz he was blindly in love, now she's gone, and he can see everything objectively.

General Comment:the meaning of this song is very debatable....it sounds like he is really over the girl, but at the same time it seems like he really misses her...maybe he just doesn't know what he really thinks but knows it's best that she's gone. i'm in the same situation right now :(
