Tonight I'll wrap myself in skyscrapers
Leave at trail of ashes where I walk
Going down to see
The girls at the beauty bar
Well it's all just candies and cigarettes from here
While insides and outsides are falling apart,
You say things to me that bend me at the knees

Well it's not hard to fall far too deep from your charms
All the lights don't shine so bright tonight
You and I light up the sky!

It feels like walking in a sleepless dream
Oh, my feet touch just above the ground!
Rolling out right in front of me
The concrete sea
The neon lights, the possiblities

Well it's not hard to fall far too deep from your charms
All the lights don't shine so bright tonight
You and I light up the sky!
All the lights don't shine so bright tonight
You and I light up the sky!

General CommentI love this song because it really forcibly puts the idea of walking through the city, smoking and on your way to meet a person, in your head. Every thought is something that people listening can relate to and they've been transformed into hundred-dollar-lines, that convey the feeling of it instead of just the meaning.

I get the feeling of going out into the night of the city, buoyed up and excited to meet someone who gives me contact high just by being so awesome, by being special in combination with me--those people you just click with so hard that everybody else pales in comparison.
