"Grey" as written by and Rebecca Elizabeth Marie/barlow Barlow....
Gray's my favorite color
Black and white has never been my thing
I'll take my drink lukewarm now
Hot and cold is not the thing for me

Absolutes are hidden
I've buried my convictions

I cannot be blind no more
Numb to what I'm living for
Help me stop this compromise that justifies these lies
I need Your passion in this life

I don't want to impose
Who really needs to know what I believe
Cause no one likes rockin' boats
And who would care to see the way I see

So give me the fire, yeah
God give me Your fire
And raise this life higher

General CommentI believe this song is talking about making a decision in life to who you're going to follow. In the song it says,

    "Grey’s my favorite color
Black and white has never been my thing,
I’ll take my drink lukewarm now,
Hot and cold is not the thing for me"

Its like they are stuck between God and the world, and asking God to help them to see the light basically. To help them to decipher wrong from right and to give them the drive to do good. In the end, they want to make absolute decisions about the way they're living and do not want to be lustless and dull, but have fire and passion.

Well, thats the way I feel about it. Barlowgirl rocks, But God rocks more!

General CommentI didn't understand at first but I thing that finally I get it now. After I read over it some more.. I noticed that she is saying that she needs to be on fire for God because right now she's feeling lukewarm. Also, tobyMac has a song that is kinda like this.

General CommentAhhhh this is easy, this song comes my favorite section of Revelation.

    Revelation 3:14

    To the Church in Laodicea

14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.

15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’” (ESV)
