"Rush Together" as written by and Kevin Truckenmiller....
They grew up in the same old town
Never knowing the other was around
Read from the same damn books
Never gave each other looks
But one day the sun will shine
I know
For their eyes have told me so
Chasing advice from those who say
I've lost my mind

Rush together to find each other
Now it's too late
You can never wait for luck
Forever bound
By the same instrument
We all adhere
That's guilt

So that's how the story goes
So far
I'll tell you the rest
But now
I'm tired of what I think
A situation where I can't sing
But I hate the vagrant life
I know
Nothing has been more sold
‘Til Now
Living my life after those who say I've lost my mind

Rush together to find each other
Now it's too late
You can never wait for luck
Forever bound
By the same instrument
We all adhere
That's guilt

This is the end
Of the song
Where the facts are laid out for you
In a nice little line
But I'm trying
To portray my experiences
As clear as I can
In another day
At another time
We can stand
Hand in hand
In the end

So what do you say?
What do you say?
Can we turn this clock back
Thirteen years
And relate
I won't mind
Can we stay?
Isn't it fate?
Isn't it fate?
That we spill our guts out
On this very day
I don't mind
I want to
I want to
Stay

General CommentI love the emotion he has in his voice when he sings, I think it's self- explanatory, but I wonder who it is about?

General CommentWhen they were at the concert, they were actually saying something about how this song is about how the age differences are so weird. Like when you're 30 and you fall for someone who's 25 and you could've grown up in the same town but in fifth grade, they would've still been in kindergarten. i think that's what they said at least lol.

General CommentYea i think that sheslikeohsoemo is right..it sounds like a song about how a guy or girl is older than this other guy and girl..and they go to the same school in their lifetime..and read from the same books and went to the same classes...just in different years..and than they met when they were both older and ended up together

General Commentthe chorus i have goes:

Rush together to find each other
    Now it's too late
You can never wait for luck
    Forever bound
    By the same instrument
    We all adhere
    That's guilt

i think this song is about finding that the one was right in front of you the whole time and you never took a chance. then everyone moved on and you want to stay. has a slight our lady peace feel to it. it's absolutely beautiful.

    General Commentverse1:
two people who live in the same town. never seen each other. one day they see each other and their eyes express true love at first sight.

"Rush together to find each other
No it's too late, you can never wait for luck
    Together playing the same instrument
That you still cant hear at all"

this chorus deals with a lot of us and connects with the story that quietdrive tells in this song. sometimes we're just too afraid to step forward to someone you love. that someone is going through the same situation as you are (playing the same instrument). unfortunately, if you wait to long and try to search for each other (rush together to find each other), it just might be too late because you waited for luck.

    verse2:
the guy left home and is telling his story to someone. he is in most regret for not taking a chance and listening to those who said he wouldnt be able to do it.

    bridge before last chorus:
i think that part is where the two who are in love finally go back home after being far apart for 13 years and by fate they came back the same time. the guy asks her desperately if they can go back and redo everything that they didn't do. they both express their feelings for one another for the first time and wonder if this is fate? (But is fate? but is it fate? that we spilled our guts out on this very day)

General Commenti take this song as people who lived near each other their whole lives but just never realized the potential the other had, like a missed opportunity, then realizing it.
the rest is kind of like how neither knows what to do once they realize it, whether they should hold on or let go.
such a great song though, the emotion in his voice is great
