Monster Lyrics
Through misuse, through misuse
You can't avoid static abuse
Abuse, abuse
You're let loose, you're let loose
Take off, get out, no excuse
No excuse, no excuse
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill?
It seeps out, it seeps out
Face down, home town looks so grey
Looks so grey, looks so grey
Twist and shout, twist and shout
Stand up brush off get moving
Get moving, get moving
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
What's that coming over the hill
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
Face down, home town, it looks so grey
Face down, home town, face down, home town
Face down, home town, it looks so grey
Face down, home town, face down, home town
Face down, home town, it looks so grey
Face down, home town, face down, home town
Face down, home town, it looks so grey
Is it a monster? Is it a monster?
(x4)
It means shit all! But it's fantastic!
I think this is about the paranoia of a drug addicted. It makes sense. The "monster coming over the hill" is part of the paranoia itself, "Brain fried tonight through misuse" is a clear reference to doing drugs, "Without these pills you're let loose" is also a reference to the addiction, "Confused, mind bruised, it seeps out" also is a reference to the drug effects. The last part, "Face down, home town, it looks so grey" reefers to depression and dependence.

I Love This Song!!!! Its so catchy and you jusy have to sing along!
So unbelievably catchy.
apparently it's about when peole get drunk and do things they shouldn't do
I think the monster symbolises a big problem which is inevitable, what ever it may be. They are too busy having fun and enjoying their youth to see what is right infront of them, and now it is too late to change it. There is no stopping or fighting a monster! And its heading straight to them.
yeah , i heard them on the live lounge on radio 1 too, and they talked about how it was about drunken louts, acting like monsters in the streets.
i thought they were brilliant in the live lounge..they definatly made that kanye west song enjoyable unlike th original which is just boring
wow they need to put this band on itunes.
on the 2nd verse instead of 'take off' its actually 'stand up' but prty gd song overall...a little bit too mainstream tho
why does it matter if its "mainstream"? a good song is a good song. enjoy it ffs.!
