"Angels on the Moon (old version)" as written by Scott Jason and Clayton Stroope....
Do you dream
That the world will know your name
So tell me your name
And do you care
About all the little things
Or anything at all
I want to feel
All the chemicals inside
I want to feel
I want a sunburn
Just to know that I'm alive
To know I'm alive

And don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
Of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know
Never leaves too soon

And do you believe
In the day that you were born
Tell me do you believe
And do you know
That every day's the first
Of the rest of your life

And don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
Of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know
Never leaves too soon

This is to one last day in the shadows
And to know a brother's love
This is to New York City angels
And the rivers of our blood
This is to all of us
To all of us

And don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
Of angels on the moon
Where everyone you know
Never leaves too soon

Yeah you can tell me all your thoughts
About the stars that fill polluted skies
And show me where you run to
When no one's left to take your side
Don't tell me where the road is
'Cause I just don't want to know
No I don't want to know

And don't tell me if I'm dying
Don't tell me if I'm dying, yeah
Don't tell me if I'm dying

    Song MeaningIts about 9/11

This is to one last day in the shadows
And to know a brother's love (we all came together)
This is to New York City angels (police..fighter fighters...other helpers)
And the rivers of our blood (all the people who died)
This is to all of us
This is to all of us

General Commenti heard the newer version first and im still getting used to this one which i still find amazing but the one thing i miss from the song is the part "well you can tell me all your thoughts about the stars that fill polluted skies...don't tell me where the road ends cause i just don't wanna know.." i fell like that is a really powerful line that helps bring everything together

    Lyric CorrectionDo you dream
That the world will know your name
    So tell me your name
    And do you care
    About all the little things
    Or anything at all

    I want to feel
    All the chemicals inside
I said I want to feel
    I want a sunburn
Just to know that I'm alive
    Just to know I'm alive

    I want to live
    Just to see the day
    When we all get along
    I want to scream
    Scream my song out loud
    So everyone could hear
    Do you believe
In the day that you were born
    Tell me do you believe
    And do you know
    That every day's the first
Of the rest of your life

    Chorus
And ohh don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
    Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
    Of angels on the moon
    Where everyone you know
    Never leaves too soon

    And you know the pain
    That brought you here today
    So what can you do
    And you know the tears
    For losing those you love
    When yesterday is gone
    So please remember
    Not to waste another day
    Not to worry your mind
    And please forgive me
    For taking so much time
To get back on my feet

    Chrous

    And I'll fight it out
    'Cause I know I can
    And I'll sleep tight
    When you're not here
    Oh no
    I wont surrender

This is to one last day in the shadows
And to know a brother's love
This is to New York City angels
And the rivers of our blood
This is to all of us
This is to all of us

Don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
    Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
    Of angels on the moon
    Where everyone you know
    Never leaves too soon
Don't tell me if I'm dying
'Cause I don't want to know
If I can't see the sun
    Maybe I should go
Don't wake me 'cause I'm dreaming
    Of angels on the moon
    Where everyone you know
    Never leaves too soon

And don't tell me if I'm dying, no
Don't tell me if I'm dying
Don't tell me if I'm dying
