"Rocket Ride" as written by Sean Delaney and Ace Frehley....
I sought salvation but I found insanity
Lost in a mass I returned to profanity

I've been reaching for the sky
But I am stuck with my feet, down in concrete

Don't you run away now, don't you be afraid
Now there is a meaning, whoah oh oh
Don't you run away now, don't you live a lie
There's more to life to show you, take a rocket ride

Suffering my way with divine aspiration
I failed to resist the sweetest temptation

Been stuck to religion 'till I clung to the pie
You never really miss it, until you really try

Tried to jump but I'm down by concrete
The memories surrounding my fate (faith?)

Don't you run away now, don't you be afraid
Now there is a meaning, whoah oh oh
Don't you run away now, don't you live a lie
There's more to life to show you, take a rocket ride

I´ve tried to reach higher, but my flesh is too weak
I've been searching for answers, I been led to the fire
There must be a reason for us to be down here
I'm driftin, yeah temptation, carried out to the sea
I'm driftin, I'm driftin away, I'm driftin away

I've been reaching for the sky
But I am stuck with my feet, down in concrete

Don't you run away now, don't you be afraid
Now there is a meaning, whoah oh oh
Don't you run away now, don't you live a lie
There's more to life to show you, take a rocket ride

General CommentThis song appears to have double-meaning. The song itself seems to be about a man who is trying to change his ways, but finding that it is extrememly hard and that he simply can't do it, and his 'feet are stuck in concrete'. The chorus, however, seems to tell you not to let the pressures of life overcome enjoying it. 'There's more to life than struggle, take a Rocket Ride', this is using a highly fantastical example to show that life has fun things to do rather than just the angsty crap that people are obligated into doing.

General CommentI like your explanation but i disagree a bit. This sounds to me more like it is about someone searching for the meaning of life.

"there must be a reason for us to be down here" is one line among others which reveal this idea.
