The sun is setting, a distant hill
Pour the bottles at the horizon
The water tower bleeds from the heat
Paint the sun, guess my reaction
No retreat, not even in sleep
Days with a new direction

Take that step to the night
Beyond all that has created you
Dead, empty stares
Strike back with the hate of a young man's heart
Sing where you don't dare
I'll meet you there
We're the sunset in the end.

General CommentA couple corrections for the first part.

    Sun setting, a distant hill
Hurl the bottles at the horizon.
The water tower bleeds from the heat.
Can the sun guess my reaction?
No retreat, not even in sleep
    Days with a new direction.

General CommentHmm lets find the most obnoxious voice ever to read these lyrics...that's experimental and different right? A lot of the songs on this album were hit or miss.

General CommentThe water tower bleeding from the heart refers to how the outside world is viewed/manifested through the lens of the heart (4th chakra).

If you're not conscious of the heart, you're not going to be seeing/creating good int he world around you.

General Comment^^ It's really interesting to interpret it through celtic paganism as well. Could be about moving from the sea to the ground/sky. The water tower leaks from the heart, down into the sea. No retreat, keep your eyes fixated upwards.

General CommentOr the water tower is your personal source of the unconscious/soul.

I like this interpretation the best.
