"High Enough" as written by and Jack Blades Tommy Shaw....
I don't want to hear about it anymore,
It's a shame I've got to live without you anymore.
There's a fire in my heart,
A pounding in my brain, it's driving me crazy.

We don't need to talk about it anymore.
Yesterday's just a memory; can we close the door?
I just made one mistake,
I didn't know what to say when you called me baby.

Don't say goodnight,
Say you're gonna stay forever,
Oh, whoa, all the way.

Can you take me high enough
to fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over and yesterday's just a memory,
Yesterday's just a memory.

And I don't want to live without you anymore.
Can't you see I'm in misery?
And you know for sure
I would live and die for you
And I'd know just what to do when you call me baby.

Don't say goodbye
Say you're gonna stay forever,
Oh, whoa, all the way.

Can you take me high enough
Can you fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over and yesterday's just a memory.

I was running
I was running for the door
The next thing I remember
I was running back for more
Ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Don't say goodbye
Say you're gonna stay forever,
Oh, whoa, all the way, all the way,
Come all the way, yeah.

Can you take me high enough
Can you fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Can you take me high enough
Won't you fly me over yesterday?
Can you take me high enough?
It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

My InterpretationThis song is about being in love and being afraid to take it to the next level (can you take me high enough). Remember your first real love experience? You wanted it to work out so badly and you did everything you could to not lose that person. You love that person and don't want to drive them away by being too clingy, attached or whatever (didn't know what to say when you called me baby).

My Interpretationi just think that this song is about a guy who's afraid of commitment ("i didn't know what to say when you called me "baby."") but now he realizes that he does love her and wants her to take him back. he wants her as well as himself to move on from his mistake so they can start fresh. however, i think the song gives off a vibe that she probably won't take him back

General CommentIn my opinion, this song is about someone that doesn't know how good he or she has it, and they know that settling down really scares them. Hell, I have been there myself. I was in a romance with a really great girl, and when she and I started getting more serious...I really got scared, and I basically jumped ship, and broke up with her...but she and I remained friends, and now we are dating again, and its great now.

General CommentHe made a mistake with his love interest. he wants her to forget about it, and for them to get back together. he wants her to take high enough to fly them over the moment when they busted up. Great song!!! One of their best!
