Release me.
Set me on fire.
I'll treat you better than you treat yourself.
And tell me,
I'm worth more than anything or anyone else.

Bled me dry on a Sunday afternoon.
No tears left,
I've cried them all for you.
You hold the cards.
You're my queen of hearts,
it's true.
Pull my arm and I'll take good care of you.

Ohh ohh ohhh

Wide awake and you're hoping for someone to walk through that open door.

Tuxedo on,
I'm ready for gun war.
I've never bled so hard after casino brawl.
And pull the knife from my ever bleeding heart.
Tell me now your words never meant me harm.

On my way to the Ritz to meet with you.
So much time,
so little left to do.
I pay the bill,
now my fears have come true.
This table for one was always meant for two.

Wide awake and you're hoping for someone to walk through that open door.

I'm all alone with you,
but who am I to make a move?
I've waited so long to prove that I'm in love with you.
(will every door that's open lead me straight to you?)

Doo dodoo do do dodododoo

Now what's going on?

Wide awake and you're hoping for someone to walk through that open door.

General Commenti think this song is so beautiful
i think its about to people in love that have an argument
and not knowing hwen to apologise..."but who am i to make a move?"
thats what i interpreted because of the whole knife and bleeding heart thing

    OR

he loves this girl and she doesnt love him and hes waiting for her
hes like her admirer and she doesnt feel the same way

i have no idea...but its such a beautiful song !!!

General CommentIts Such A Lovely Song ^^.

I think its abit like alizzle says. about a couple

The first verse is about the boy still loving the girl
"release me" as if hes asking her to release him from her love as he loves her so much.

The second verse is about the couple having an argument
her bleeding "him dry" love associated with blood ect.
but that he still loves her and wants to take care of her.

bridge: is that he's waiting "hoping" for her to come back to him because he loves her.

third verse: hes on his way to meet with her to discuss their relationship.
he realises his "table for one" symbolising his life needs two people - her.

the last verse: is him realising how he feels with her
but cannot tell her how he feels.
who is he to tell her, hes already broken her heart ect.

    :)

General Commentthis is such a gorgeous song, i've fallen in love with it.

    the way i interpret it,
    it's like unrequited love.
    like he loves this girl
but she's playing on that and sort of using him.

he's totally smitten, and realises that she's using him.
he wants to tell her how he feels.
    blah blah blah.

but that's just how i interpreted it.

    :)
