A fire swept through
Everyone rushed for the door
Boards were used to carry the impaired
The rescuers had withdrawn
The building is virtually black now
That's what the witness said

I think about how I miss you
And I will remain
I think about how I miss you

A fire swept through
Everyone rushed for the door
Boards were used to carry the impaired
The rescuers had withdrawn

I think about how I miss you
And I will remain
I think about how I miss you
I think about how I miss you
I think about how I miss you
I think about how I miss you
I think about how I miss you

General CommentThe melody couldn't fit the song more perfectly. Very haunting, to tie in with the title. I had initially thought it was someone recalling a horrible event in their life, losing someone, and the memory of the deceased haunting them like a ghost. But the lyric "and I will remain" hints it is the ghost of the person who died recounting the event. Also, saying "the rescuers have withdrawn" implies that they are leaving this ghost behind. Great fucking song.
