Take the ribbon from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Layin' soft upon my skin
Like the shadows on the wall

Come and lay down by my side
Till the early mornin' light
All I'm takin' is your time
Help me make it through the night

I don't care who's right or wrong
I don't try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
And it's sad to be alone

Help me make it through the night

I don't care who's right or wrong
I don't try to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
For tonight I need a friend

Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
And it's sad to be alone

Help me make it through the night

I don't want to be alone
Help me make it through the night

Of interest, Chris had said he Had got the idea for the song after reading an interview Frank Sinatra had done for esquire magazine in which Sinatra was asked a question and his reply was “ booze, broads or the Bible, which ever helps me make it through the night”. Kristofferson never recovered from his first divorce despite being with numerous women and was always lonely. he changed the lyrics a bit and that was the outcome, he invited Dottie West to sing it with him but she felt the song was too provocative so she turned him down and later regretted her decision.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
