"The Pageant Of The Bizarre" as written by Henry Binns, Sam Hardaker and Sia Kate I. Furler....
It's never gonna be
Normal, you and me
What you're signing on for
Is a storm at sea

So if you think you're tough
Give me all your love
And I'll give you every little piece of me

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

We will never be a nuclear family
But a rainbow will begin at our feet
And if you take my hand
Beware that this boat can
Run aground making the ocean floor weep

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

Catch a falling star you'll go far
In the pageant of the bizarre
And tonight I give you my heart

Take a chance on me, yeah
You're my remedy, yeah

You may fall indeed, yeah
You'll find peace with me, yeah

Take a chance on me, yeah
You're my remedy, yeah

You may fall indeed, yeah
You'll find peace with me, yeah
Peace with me, yeah

Take a chance on me, yeah
You're my remedy, yeah

You may fall indeed, yeah
You'll find peace with me, yeah

General Commentkl im first to comment.
i love this song. its so weird and i love the twinkly bit at the beginning.
i first heard this song when i was copying all of my brothers music onto my computer before he went back to uni. anyway, at the time me and my boyfriend were kind of arguing about breaking up. basically i thought we should cuz it would be better for him and he didnt want to.
i thought it was so cool that this song came on while this was happening, becuawse its almost exactly how i feel.
its about wanting someone and havcing to warn that person that its not going to be an easy ride. that a normal relationship isnt possible but they wanna give it a go anyway,

General CommentI have been playing this song on repeat for several days - I like the circus'y feeling in the beginning - and the vocals very much as well!

I have a feeling that this song may be about a homosexual relationship - it's not easy, it will never be 'normal', let alone a 'nuclear family' - instead perhaps it will become a rainbow family - a rainbow begins at their feet?

    Hmm...

General Commenti think it's about the beginning of a risky relationship but it's definately about a relationship with a lot of love.

    General CommentDear najahelene,

You are 100 percent correct. THat is exactly what this song is about. Sia the writer and singer is bisexaul and she is with the girl or transgendered female or female to male from the group Letigre. She is totally talking about a queer relationship, hence the rainbow, never be a nuclear family, pageant of bizarre, the cute circus freak music. I love this song, homosexuals (since I am one), and the darling sia!!

General Comment"You may fall indeed, yeah"

i think its: "you may fall in deep"

the atlantic records website says so.

also agree with najahelene and Smiley75220. i always assumed it was about a gay or lesbian relationship. just hints like mentioning a rainbow, never being a normal family, being "bizarre"

    fantastic song.
