You shouldn’t think twice
Sometimes
I still believe
If you have an opinion
Just let it out
Scream and shout
You shouldn’t think twice
All the time don’t be afraid
To speak with your heart
to say things out loud
pretty mouth

oh girl it’s so hard to see
what i am in your reality
am i the anchor of your feet
that keeps you here
from flying freely
to the sun

and drop off your skin
then is when you’ll swallow
pride inside the flames
it’s freakin’ hot
i still bet it won’t burn you up

you shouldn’t pin your faith
on me all the time
a thief in the nigth
a riot at home
don’t sit and moan
you wanna break out
well you can
all that you need
is the key to the cage
you constructed yourself
in all these years
you say there’s
no key like that
(well there’s gotta be)

frustration as in loneliness
is an acquired taste
rejection failure bitterness
they are an acquired taste
motivation endlessness
is what you gotta cope with all those
lessons about what you don 't know
they are an acquired taste

General Comment2 people, singer obviously has a thing for someone, and although that person probably feels the same thing, they can't do anything because of personal issues all over. They are an acquired taste, especially cause they can't commit to anything.
Well, that's what i think of the lyrics, but all comments would be great!

General CommentI think the singer is concerned about a gril (you-person) because she's always afraid (of relationships?) and she's very shy. He wonders if he were an anchor of her feet, maybe it's his fault, because in all these times the girl relies on him. He tries to convince her to dó something, she shouldn't sit home and cry like if she locked herself up in a cage. He gives her advice (to be more spontaneous and independant) and bets it won't harm her. His lesson: she should try things and learn from her experiences, so that all the things she's now afraid of, will be an acquired taste.
