I've become tired
Of Wasting my time
Thinkin' bout choices
That I've made
Cause I can't move forward
While looking behind
The only thing I can
Thing to do now is change my way
That I use to be
Cause now it's seems
Crystal clear to me

Cause you're so much more
Than a memory
Cause you're so much more
Than a memory

It wasn't fair
For me just to go
Act like I knew what you've been though
Cause I wasn't there
And I'll never know
Couldn't see from
Your point of view
But I'm doing all I can
For you to see
That I understand
That I understand

Cause you're so much more
Than a memory
Cause you're so much more
Than a memory
So don't close my door
On what still can be
Cause you're so much more
Than a memory

Please don't Go
Cause I've finally Know
That the past is gone
And I was wrong
And I was wrong

You're so much more
Than a memory
Cause you're so much more
Than a memory
So don't close the door
On still what can be
Cause you're so much more
Than a memory

Please don't go
Cause I've finally know
That the past is gone
And I was wrong

Please don't go
Cause I've finally know
That the past is gone
And I knew I was wrong
And I was wrong

General Comment:to me it's pretty straight forward. he left his girl ("It wasn’t fair for me just to go") and just tried to let her go. so now he has realized that he just really screwed up ("And I know I was wrong, I was wrong") and that he really does need her...more than he thought ("cuz you're so much more than a memory").

General Comment:nevermind, on second thought, that's not what its about. it has nothing to do with him breaking up with her.

i think he did something bad and now she's mad at him and he's begging her not to go ("please don't go") because she really does mean a lot to him ("cuz you're so much more than a memory"). so this song is his plea that she would just stay.

but i agree w/ RuinedFireCracker and Purple Redness. this song is really beautiful and worth every second.

General Comment:this song couldnt have come out at a better time it is perfect to my situation funkeywoookey ... i think your right on with both of your interpretations ... i think he broke up with her/left her and has realized that he needs her but also that when they were to gether that he screwed up a lot and now that he wants her back she no longer wants him... the reason that im saying that this song couldnt have come out at a better time is i ended my 3 year relationship back in jan and walked away from her ... and in the past 6 months i came to terms that the last year we were together i did some pretty mean things ... but i want her back more than anything and i dont want her to just be a memory to me but she is saying no and unwilling to give it a chance and i am begging her to give it one more chance(dont close that door)

General Comment:He dumped a girl, then realizes how lonely he is without her. He wants her back, and doesn't want her to look at the past and he hopes she accepts her, despite dumping her... Sad song and very beautiful. Rock on, Hoobastank.

General Comment:or if you think about it.. it could be the other way.. like i know the it's male vocals.. but maybe it's from the girls point of veiw after she cheated on him and broke up with him due to the fact she hurt him..

It wasn’t fair for me just to go
And act like I know what you’d been through
Cus I wasn’t there and I’ll never know
I couldn’t see from your point of view
But I’m doing all I can
For you see that I understand
    That I understand

from that you could take it as the break up and her slowly seeing that the guy still loved her and she knew she loves him but felt she has broken his heart even though the thing that hurt him most was losing her?

songs are took in different per person XD

General Comment:My daughter died last year and this was her favorite song for me to sing to her! I used to sing it to her over and over again. All 7 minutes of it. It was worth every minute to spend with her! I don't regret a single minute of it. And to me, she is More Than A Memory!
