"Dink's Song" as written by Marcus Oliver Johnstone Mumford, T-bone Burnett, Oscar Isaac and Traditional,....
Could this be magic, my dear, my heart's all aglow?
Could this be magic, loving you so?
Could this be magic, my dear, having your love?
My prayers were answered so far from above

I thought that it would be just a memory
To linger my heart in pain
But too much cries, I opened up my eyes
And I'm with you, dear, once again

Could this be magic, my dear, having your love?
If this is magic then magic is mine
Could this be magic then magic is mine

General Commentexcellent bob dylan cover off of jeff's first album, live at sin-e. clocks in at 11:14, a good 6 minutes longer than dylan's home demo release. it's a really good song, no clue what it's about, it seems pretty scatter brained.

General CommentOnce I wore my apron low,
couldn't keep you away from my door.
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well.

General CommentFirst of all, the song is sort of like John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery," in the sense that it's written (and traditionally performed by) men, but from the perspective of a woman.

I always thought this song was about a pregnant woman whose lover/husband/whatever ran out. When she wore her apron low (before she was pregnant or before she started showing,) she couldn't keep the man from her door. Once she started moving her apron higher in order to accomodate her swelling belly and the pregnancy was apparent, the guy took off.
