"Elysium" as written by Thomas Daniel Noonan, Steven Matthew Holt and Brock Nicholas Lindow....
And in the harbor she sleeps
On her anchor waiting direction
Then through the storms we align
Life and search forever after

So we gather our way to
Answer all of our failures
(Failures)
With hope and redemption
Rest inside the flames
Just continue the chase

Through the darkest
Across the mouth
And into this ocean
We see through skin
To never forget

When all hope is lost
Hearts turn to lock
Set your sights to improve
Set your sights to improve

We gather our way to
Answer all of our failures
(Failures)
With hope and redemption
Rest inside the flames
Continue the chase

Through the darkest
Across the mouth
And into this ocean
We see through skin
To never forget

When all hope is lost
Hearts turn to lock
Set your sights to improve
Set your sights to improve

Don't let the lights turn out
This watery grave
Inside every page
Avoiding, avoiding

Don't let the lights turn out
Don't let the lights turn out
Don't let the lights turn out
Don't let the lights turn

Across the mouth
And into this ocean
We see through skin
To never forget

When all hope is lost
Hearts turn to lock
Set your sights to improve

And rest inside the flames
Rest inside the flames
Rest inside the flames
Rest inside the flames

General CommentWell, maybe i'm not looking deeply enough.. But i reckon the reference to the ship is meant to be taken literally. I think this song seems like it's about someone who maybe hasn't found any success at home and has decided to take to the seas as a sailor, maybe i'm wrong.. but thats my take on it..

General CommentLove the ship metaphor, this song really enforces the truth that this life is yours. To me especially, it says you determine which way you go. I agree with Majes, it is uplifting. I think this song is basically about trying again after failure. AWESOME song, I can't get enough of it. LOVE 36 Crazyfists and Killswitch. Two of my favourite bands.

General CommentGreat song. My favourite 36 Crazyfists song.
I think Majes has the right idea of the meaning.

    Correct lyrics:

And in the harbor she sleeps on her anchor waiting direction.
Then through the storms we align life and search forever after.
So we gather our way to answer all of our failures, with hope and redemption.
    Rest inside the flames.

Continue the chase through the darkest.
Across the mouth and into this ocean, we see through skin to never forget.

When all hope is lost and hearts turn to lock, set your sights to improve.
Don't let the lights turn out.

This watery grave, inside every page.
    Avoiding, avoiding.
Don't let the lights turn out.
Don't let the lights turn out.
Don't let the lights turn out.
    Don't let the lights turn...

Across the mouth and into this ocean, we see through skin to never forget.

When all hope is lost and hearts turn to lock, set your sights to improve.
    And Rest Inside The Flames
    And Rest Inside The Flames
    And Rest Inside The Flames
    And Rest Inside The Flames

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to lyrics =D
    Don't know why.
