"Felt Through A Phone Line" as written by Thomas Daniel Noonan, Steven Matthew Holt and Brock Nicholas Lindow....
So we went after the crash
We stepped out alone
An undivided healing
That swallows us whole

The air cuts like glass
And you taste like winter
And how long will you last?
Forever

And congratulations
You've become what you wanted
Steppin' out of this car with that look in your eye
Knowin' that you've never looked so beautiful

Telephone lines away
Death on the end and I'm screaming
Two-two-six on the door
Asking to make out while watching the war

So we went after the crash
We stepped out alone
An undivided healing
That swallows us

Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory
Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory

And I've got the proof to frame the way
As we danced, we bled across the floor
And that never endin' supply what we wished for
It took me fourteen hours to get this sore
Knowin' that you've never looked so beautiful

Telephone lines away
Death on the end and I'm screaming
Two-two-six on the door
Asking to make out while watching the war

So we went after the crash
We stepped out alone
An undivided healing
That swallows us

Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory
Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory

Twenty-five days and I still can't get this right
Twenty-five days and I still can't get this right

So we went after the crash
We stepped out alone
An undivided healing
That swallows us

(So we went)
Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory
(So we went)
Nothing's like this exit
Pale white skin on memory

Telephone lines away
Felt through a phone line
Telephone lines away
Felt through a phone line

General CommentI don't. But it's a tough fucker. I'm not sure, but I think it's about breaking up.

"So we went after the crash. We step out alone"
After the last climax (crash) they both walk their own way (we step out alone)

"Congratulations, you become what you wanted" I think he means it negative

"25 days and I still can't get this right."

And most of all: he regrets it: "It took me 14 hours to get this sore and knowing that you've never looked so beautiful."

General CommentIt is a toughie and I think you're right about the break up, spesh when you consider 'you taste like indicating a coldness between them and 'how long will you last, forever... ' which shows the finality.
I think the line 'you never looked so beautiful' is about wnating what you can't have? Maybe it's me being a bit pervy but I thought 'It took me 14 hours to get this sore and knowing that you've never looked so beautiful' had some sexual connotation and reflected how even though she never looked so good, deep down he doesn't want her. So yeah, that's what I think...lol

General CommentEverytime I hear the start of the song I imagine the scene of a car crash. One person walking away from the wreckage.

General CommentI think the bit about a crash possibly a car crash is a metphore for a relationship ending

General CommentI think this song is about a breakup too, with that bitterness felt which you can just see in the lyrics. I also believe the car crash is a metaphor for the end of the relationship and maybe in the part "the air cuts like glass and u taste like winter. and how long will you last ,forever" could refer to a guilty hookup and Brock questioning where they are at, finally coming to the conclusion that she's..a maneater. Well, to me she sounds like a devil woman lol, feel free to agree i'm probably wrong
