"Decomposing trees" as written by and Michael Dean Wareham Damon Krukowski....
My toes can talk
And they're smiling at me
"Come down," they say
Not afraid anymore

And they talk to me
And they smile at me

I walked upstream
And I sat in the mud
Life sucks again
Watching trees decompose

And they talk to me
And they smiled at me

General Commentan LSD or psychedelics come down song,

out in the woods all night coming down from a trip,
after getting a bit of the fear, looks at his toes and they smile and reassure him,
    "come down" they say

then back to mundanity, staring at trees until drug wears off completely,
    life sucks again

but memory of that connection with higher self, the toes talking and smiling,
    lingers on
