What does it take
To satisfy
You’re need for someone to blame
You’re need for a whipping boy
Now you’re asking
To take that from me
Well, here’s your answer:

You'll blame me
You can do your best to shame me
Anything you can to hate me
Tell yourself again
Go save yourself for someone else
Blame me
You can do your best to shame me
Anything you can to hate me
Tell yourself again
Go save yourself for someone else

Ever since we started
You were looking for someone to carry you
But ever since you were hurt
You’ve been looking for someone you could hurt, too
And now you’re trying
To find that in me
Well, I’m not you’re savior.

Chorus
Save yourself for someone else
Save yourself

I’m not
Too proud
To end this with a broken smile
Tear down
These walls
And throw it away

Chorus
Save yourself for someone else
Save yourself

General Commentsounds to me like he was being used in a relationship. like someone for his girlfriend to take out her anger on.

    "Ever since we started
You were looking for someone to carry you
But ever since you were hurt
You’ve been looking for someone you could hurt, too"

sort of like a security blanket for his girlfriend.

General Commentto me this sounds like he just got sick of the way his girlfriend treated him. like she acted like such a victim and no matter what she had to blame someone else for her mistakes and the way things were. then once they were over, she tried to blame him for their ending just like she had tried to blame him for everything else. and hes accepting that she will blame him but hes not letting her get to him.
