"Gone Daddy Gone (Violent Femmes cover)" as written by Gordon Gano and Willie Dixon....
Beautiful girl love ya dress
High school smiles oh yes
Beautiful girl love ya dress
Where she is now I can only guess

'Cause it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
It's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone away

When I see you
Eyes will turn blue
When I see you
A thousand eyes turning blue

'Cause it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
It's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone away

An I can tell by the way that ya
Switch your walk
An I can see by the way
That ya, baby talk
An I can know by the way that ya
Treat your man
I can love ya baby 'til it's a crying

'Cause it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
It's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone away

(Gone daddy gone)
Beautiful girl love ya dress
(Gone daddy gone)
Fifteen smiles oh yes
(Gone daddy gone)
Beautiful girl love ya dress
(Gone daddy gone)
Where she is now I can only guess

'Cause it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
It's gone daddy gone
The love is gone
Yeah it's gone daddy gone
The love is gone away
Gone away
Gone away
Gone away
Gone away
Gone away
Gone away
Gone away

General CommentI think it's about loss of innocence. Maybe a long lost high school love.

    Good cover though.

General CommentIt`s quite simple. The song is about a girl who reaches 15 years old... So when her father sees her he feels depressed because he realises that his daughter is turning into a woman..
    Well that's what I think.

General Commentfirst of all some of the lyrics are wrong, instead of "i could love ya baby till it's a crying" it's "i could love you baby till it's a crime". i think it's to do with the girl in the song's father leaving her when she was younger, and now it affects the way she interacts with guys, like, she is searching for this love she never felt from a male figure, and finds this love from men. she dresses nicely to attract their attention, she switches her walk, once again indicating she craves the male attention. i think the "narrator" of the song is almost like a stalker type figure, he sees how insecure and vulnerable and desperate she is to be loved, so he knows how easy it will be for him to take advantage of her. "i can love ya baby til it's a crime". and if you listen to the song at the end his voice goes really creepy and deep, showing this dark sinister side to the narrator. and the whole wearing perfect dresses and smiling the perfect highschool smile is just a front this girl puts on to mask her pain and need for love. well, thats what i think anyway.
